Online Counseling – Thu
I provide a warm, welcoming environment where you will feel supported from the beginning. I am happy to help you navigate challenges, including faith questions. There is no question that is “too silly” to ask in session. My foundation is in teaching and I believe that has better equipped me to educate my clients not only on psychological issues, but also faith-based integration.
My Goal as a Christian Counselor
As your counselor, my goal for you to gain a better knowledge of yourself and what God says about you. God meets us where we are; we do not have to change a thing about ourselves to “be better” or “earn His love.” If you, your child, or your teenager are going through a season of doubt, I believe exploring that safely can lead to a stronger, more secure faith. The Lord has been speaking on mental health for thousands of years through His holy Word. I hope my clients grow not only as individuals, but as believers.
What I Offer in Christian Counseling
I offer a supportive, judgement-free atmosphere while also encouraging you to grow and learn. I will challenge you to reflect on yourself, reflect on your values, and establish ways to develop new, healthier habits for yourself moving forward. This may entail revisiting the past, challenging beliefs, and making changes in the present to lead to a brighter future.
My Approach to Christian Counseling
As a Christian therapist, my approach to counseling includes a blend of faith and psychology. I believe that psychology and Scripture complement each other beautifully. When paired together, they are the recipe for amazing growth. Seeking clinical support and spiritual growth is a great place to grow as a human as we discover the connection between evidence-based care and our faith as Christians. My goal is to guide individuals, couples, and families toward healing and growth through evidence-based care and biblical truths.
Qualifications & Experience
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science degree in Professional Counseling from Mid-America Christian University.
I have also completed the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy (Level 1) and Gottman Affairs and Trauma Training. I hold a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP) certificate and am trained in trauma care as well as treating anxiety and OCD with exposure response prevention (ERP).
My Call to Christian Counseling
When I was young, I went through my own difficult time and I received the help of a trained Christian counselor. I was very thankful to have an older woman of strong faith who took my hand and helped me walk through that difficult season. During this time of my life, I questioned my personal faith. My counselor provided a safe place for me to explore these questions. I remember asking her how I could do the same job as her one day. I initially studied Social Work and then went into education. I felt called back to the counseling field about four years into my teaching experience. I was a full-time teacher while I worked on my Master’s Degree part-time for five years.
More About Me/On a Personal Note
I am a huge Alabama football fan. I love to watch sports and spend time with my husband and children. I also enjoy spending time with my twin sister and going to the beach for vacation. I serve at church on the weekends and I enjoy writing about faith and mental health. You can find several of my books on Amazon, including devotionals, Bible studies, and faith-based guides to healing.

Infidelity and Affairs
Affairs do more than damage trust in a relationship. They disrupt safety and create deep relational trauma, leaving the hurt partner overwhelmed, questioning everything, and struggling to find stability, while the one who had the affair may carry the weight of shame and uncertainty about what to do next. The good news is that healing from infidelity is possible. Biblically, we are called to confess our sin and seek forgiveness before the Lord and others. Through infidelity recovery, I provide support using evidence-based practices while also creating space for the accountability and repentance Scripture calls us to as Christians. You do not have to navigate this alone. There is a path forward, and with the right support, healing, restoration, and renewed stability are possible.

Anxiety/OCD
Do you often feel overwhelmed? Does anxiety seem to control your decisions or leave you feeling like you are missing out on your life? Anxiety and OCD can feel consuming, pulling you into cycles of fear, intrusive thoughts, and behaviors that are hard to break, but they do not have to define the way you live. I have a deep passion for working with Christians who struggle with anxiety and OCD, and I believe there is real hope found in both Scripture and practical tools. Using evidence-based Exposure Response Prevention, we will work to help you understand what is happening and learn how to respond instead of feeling controlled. This path takes courage, consistency, and support, but you do not have to walk it alone. I will walk alongside you each step of the way as you move toward the freedom, clarity, and purpose God calls you to.
Trauma
Do you feel like your past hurts are dictating your life? The truth about trauma is that it is an intense emotional reaction to distressing events. It affects our minds and our bodies for years. It slips into our relationships, impacts our self-worth, and can stunt emotional growth. Through trauma care, it is my goal to educate my clients on what is happening in their minds and bodies, because knowledge is power. We will also integrate tools and skills into trauma therapy using an evidence-based recipe to help with desensitization. The truth is, God speaks to our wounds clearly, and He already meets us where we are. We will work together to integrate evidence-based care with biblical truths to help foster emotional healing. If you are ready to stop letting your past lead and start moving toward real healing, I invite you to take the next step and begin that work today.
Couples Counseling
Are you feeling alone in your relationship? Do you feel like where there was once support, there is loneliness, isolation, and frequent conflict? As a Christian, I believe in the sacred covenant of marriage and that it is worth putting in the effort to restore what once was. My goal in couples counseling is to help couples work on various aspects of their relationship. We will use proven, evidence-based Gottman techniques to foster communication, conflict resolution, and emotional connection. There is always hope for a couple with the willingness to work. If you are ready to move out of disconnection and begin rebuilding your relationship with intention, I invite you to take the next step and start that process today, trusting that God can restore what feels broken and guide you toward healing together.
Individual Counseling
Do you feel overwhelmed by your thoughts or stuck in patterns you cannot seem to break? Maybe you find yourself overthinking, carrying anxiety, or feeling disconnected from who you used to be, and it is starting to affect your daily life, relationships, and sense of peace. In individual counseling, my goal is to help you understand what is happening beneath the surface so you can begin to respond differently instead of feeling stuck. We will use evidence-based tools and practical skills to navigate anxiety, process emotions, and build healthier patterns that support your growth, while also integrating biblical truth and trusting that God meets you right where you are. If you are ready to move forward with clarity, healing, and a stronger sense of identity, I invite you to take the next step and begin that process today.
